My Background and Approach

I consider myself an anthropologist at heart – I am curious about and inspired by people and cultures. I have brought that curiosity into my work over the last 6+ years working for edtech and retail organizations. My background in teaching has enabled me to explain complex findings in clear, actionable ways and build strong partnerships across teams.

I believe the best research outcomes emerge when stakeholders are involved throughout the process – from framing research questions to analyzing findings. I regularly create opportunities for team members to observe and participate in research activities. This approach has consistently led to better adoption of research findings and more user-centered decision-making across organizations.

I live in northeast Wisconsin with my husband, our daughter, and our dog, Meeka. When I’m not wearing my researcher cap, I enjoy playing my guitar and listening to nerdy language podcasts.
